This week, St Croix Composite Squadron started with Commander’s Call as always before moving to a Character Development class and closing out with drill tests. During Commander’s Call, it was announced that we officially have a lease to build a new hanger at Lake Elmo Airport. That means the squadron will now have yearly dues to help pay for the hanger. We are currently trying to get Phase 1 approved to have a meeting of up to 10 people, and the cadets are 76/90 points toward our next reward. Lastly during Commander’s Call, we had a Crash Site Management Briefing. During the rest of the cadet meeting, the cadets shared each person’s hobbies and had a Character Development class, learning about the 5 pillars of wellness and resiliency: mind, body, relationships, spirit, and family. The last item on the agenda was drill tests- there were many requests so we only got a few in, but the cadets did well and we hope to see everyone promoting.
