For the last week in June, the cadets learned about aerospace and leadership. SrA Hipp taught an aerospace class on the German “Luftwaffe” from World War II using a YouTube video. The class gave an interesting perspective about airplanes from a different country and different time. Next, the group participated in something we call sit-leads, which stands for situational leadership. The cadets are given a scenario where they must use leadership skills to resolve an issue. The meeting ended with Commander’s Call, where we went over upcoming events in our squadron and in Civil Air Patrol as a whole. There is no meeting next week. Happy Independence Day!
