This week, the cadets had a safety down class followed by some drill and Commander’s Call. The safety down class consisted of learning how to keep a fire burning in wet conditions, a useful skill for wilderness survival. Next, the cadets practiced some drill movements to keep the movements sharp. Drill is very important since it reflects our core values, so we need to frequently practice it. Finally, everyone gathered in the classroom for Commander’s Call, addressing some relevant CAP items.
