This week marked the second time St. Croix Squadron met in person since the beginning of quarantine. The meeting included a Character Development class, a Canine SAR Class, and a couple cadets presenting their SDAs(Staff Duty Analyses) for a promotion. Character Development was taught by Chaplain Burton, and it was all about defining a hero. Chief Vance presented the Canine SAR class, so the cadets learned a little more about ES and how it works with Canine trackers. Finally, Captain Ekstrand and Lieutenant Britten presented their SDAs on the Tri-Squadron Blue Moon coming up and the Point Motivation System used by the squadron in quarantine to keep the cadets engaged. Both SDAs went well and were very professional. We hope to get Phase III approved in the future and more cadets attending the meetings.
