On Thursday, February 13th, St. Croix Squadron (STX) had 3 total promotions. Cadet Technical Sergeants Allen Menk and Camden Briggs promoted to the rank of Master Sergeant, thus turning into senior NCOs. Cadet Master Sergeant Hayden Bateman also promoted to the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. C/CMSgt Larson was also given his ‘shirt tails’. This is a tradition for pilots who have completed their first solo (see pictures). Later during commander’s call, Chief Donald Vance gave a short Emergency Services class about CAP’s phone-tracking capabilities.
After commanders call, cadets and seniors separated in order to carry out their individual meetings. Juliet flight, STX’s flight with cadets from AB to A1c, perfected their skills in drill and played a couple fun drill activities. Romeo flight, STX’s flight with cadets above the rank of SrA, prepared for the coming Cadre Selection Exercise (CSE). They perfected their ability to call drill in confined spaces and performed a Situation Leadership test (Sit-Lead).
