This week at our weekly meeting the agenda was a bit different. Instead of the normal schedule with Commander’s Call and other various classes, this meeting was dedicated to Emergency Services. The squadron went through how to read a map, how to use a compass, and how to find an ELT(emergency locator transmitter, goes off when a plane crashes). This is very important since one of Civil Air Patrol’s main missions is Emergency Services. The cadets needed some training towards Ground Team Member 3, and this is a great way to start!
