This week, St. Croix Squadron met at a hangar at Lake Elmo Airport to learn about character development and aerospace. Some cadets got to fly an orientation flight, which comes free as a perk of joining Civil Air Patrol. For character development, cadets learned about the importance of perspective in everyday life. They learned about the great impact of different perspectives and about the best time to utilize each perspective. For aerospace education, the cadets got insight into Lake Elmo Airport and its operations, as well as some stories from the squadron’s student pilots. To conclude the meeting, we briefed some upcoming Civil Air Patrol events such as the CAP’s National Conference.
