This week consisted of Commander’s Call followed by a leadership class. During Commander’s Call, the Commander walked through the new items in Civil Air Patrol, then informed the squadron about the flight scholarship offered. I received the first round and will be taking flight lessons, and now our squadron’s second round of flight scholarships is open for any cadet in the squadron with a rank of C/SSgt or higher. After Commander’s Call, the seniors split off into their own Zoom meeting while the cadets stayed for a leadership class. The class was based on a Ted Talk: “How great leaders inspire action.” This video was followed by some speeches using the method discussed in the video.
